You are eligible if:

• you have successfully completed the Australian Year 12 with passes in mathematics and physics, or equivalent in your country

• your 18th birthday is before the end of Semester 2 in the first year

• you pass the Civil Aviation Safety Authority Class 1 medical

• you have achieved a minimum English language proficiency of IELTS 6.0 (academic) across all bands.

Career Prospects

On completion of the Diploma, graduates may:

• apply to articulate into the Advanced Diploma of Aviation (Professional Pilot)

• seek employment as a pilot in general charter or commuter operations

• after gaining the required flying experience and aircraft endorsements, apply for positions in corporate, regional, domestic and international airlines.

 

COURSE STRUCTURE

The Diploma consists of 27 units.

The teaching methods used in the Diploma are structured and integrated using classroom based teaching, supervised practical activities, projects, assignments, computer based training and use of simulators. The assessments methods include internal and external examinations, assignments, class presentations and practical activities. Delivery and assessment for the flying components is conducted by a flying school in accordance with CASA.

You are eligible if:
