TAFE NSW

TAFE
NSW English language programs are available to suit all levels
of students from beginners to the more advanced and will help
develop your skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening
and grammar. Our General English Programs includes:
-
General English Certificate course
from beginner to intermediate level (5-25 weeks) to develop
basic oral and written skills in English.
-
Certificate 3 in English for TAFE
(5-20 weeks) for intermediate learners to prepare students
for vocational courses at TAFE or university studies.
Depending on visa restrictions, some students will also need
to sit for an IELTS test.

Advanced English (5-10 weeks)
available at some centres only for upper intermediate to
advanced learners to develop high-level study skills and to
prepare students for the IELTS test, Interpreting diploma,
tertiary study or employment with English speakers.

IELTS Preparation Students
develop language skills and prepare to sit for the IELTS
test for entry into TAFE or university.

Cambridge Certificate in Advanced
English (CAE) and Cambridge First Certificate (FCE)
are 10 week courses to develop language skills to sit the
Cambridge examination. Available at Hunter Institute only.

History
The Byron Bay English Language School opened
in 1998 with the aim of providing high quality English language tuition in
a beautiful and natural environment and to compliment this educational
experience with a range of activity options.
Quality
The Byron Bay English Language School is
fully accredited with NEAS Australia. NEAS is an industry based
organisation that maintains quality assurance for English language schools
in Australia. It stands for quality. We are also a member of the
Australian Council For Private Education and Training - ACPET.
Location - school building
The school is located in the central part of
Byron Bay, 2 minutes walk from the bus stop. We are on the ground floor of
a two storey building (picture) in Jonson Lane. Access is also available
from Carlyle St. The Bunkhouse backpackers hostel is located on the second
level of our building. Outside the classrooms there is a sheltered outdoor
garden area for students to relax, eat lunch and enjoy conversations with
other students.
